On a 56 Brooklure 5 hp F-N-R shift . Can anyone tell me what might be the same or different parts wise than the Johnson or Evinrude 5.5 ‘s. Thanks

Most of it is the same as a 1955 Johnson 5.5. But the powerhead is slightly different, with no removable cylinder head. And of course, the hood

I refurbed a 1957 5hp about 9 years ago, and most parts were the same as OMC. Here’s the old thread:

Might someone be able to post a parts manual for the 56 Brooklure?
            Thanks,

              I have the 1956 Seaking/Gale 5hp owners/parts manual. That should do.
