      What parts could be used on 1958 and up 10hp motors?

        The thumb screws, prop, and the gearcase, with a drive shaft swap. That’s about it.

          Would the mag plate and assembled ignition parts work?

            You would also have to swap the shift shaft. The coil, points and condenser would work but not the mag plate

              Very few parts indeed….I don’t recommend buying a used/junk 9.5 to use as a donor for a 10hp….
              The mag plate is different as well…

                Well the motor was a freebee from a friend, that saved it from a dumpster. I started a new post when the motor arrived, to determine what to due with it.
