What are the initial carb settings for these motors? I’ve set the slow needle to 1/2 – 3/4, but the service manual wasn’t specific about the fast setting – 1/4 turn out and run it until warm?

This one has a slightly weeping prop seal also, is there a way to fix this, or parts available?

The original seals were made of cork or horsehide or something and don’t seem to hold up for eighty years so I’ve made adapters to hold a modern lip style seal instead of trying to replace the originals. I think the originals were meant to keep water out of the gearcase grease but the lip seals allow gear oil to be used instead. It just has to be checked frequently as the drive shaft has no seal on it.
