      Canada Member - 2 Years

      the wave washer #301855 (under the mag plate has a 1/4 inch gap in it ) circumference is broken .25 inch

      is this the way it should be or did it "crack" and open up.

      if no parts are missing from this gap I could probably just resolder it with a small piece of thin brass or copper sheet to "bridge" across the crack for more resistance to flexing and further cracking.

        That part number is replaced by 552029, used on lots of motors. Should be lots of them kicking around in people’s stash. I have some myself, but postage to Canada would be 20 times what the part is worth.

          40 cents ain’t that bad 😆

          mine is not in bad shape breakage aside… i’ll try a small weld if not well I’ll get a new one

            🙂 well it is fixed …. I just jumped the gap with a small piece of copper soldered on and filed down to smooth any bumps

            should last another lifetime…
