      any concerns…. wiring, impeller, carbs ,distributor or CDI ignition…I
      is this a keep away thing compression 130…all cyl

        Have 3 different Mercury red bands. 4, 9.8, and a 135HP. Good years for Mercury. Parts available. Electronics can be a weak point. CDI makes replacement stators, and most likely wiring shot.

          The 4 cyl 65 from those years typically had bad spline wear If your buying it is worth checking

            Great motors as long as used in fresh water only. As mentioned by others, wires are a weak point

              Not exactly a five minute carb job, either. If you’re an OMC guy, you won’t enjoy cleaning the carbs. Lots in the way.

                what about a Suzuky DT40 mdl for 1300 $$$ cdn

                it has a whole new lower gear case??? I presume a bad collision in the past ??? dt40 looks like mid 80’s any opinions ??

                do you guys feel what I feel ???
