Just had a Chrysler 20hp dropped off. Model 20701. Serial#3723. I haven’t come across one of these before. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanx, Mike.

The model number identifies it as a 1967 model. Chrysler bought out West Bend in about ’65 so this motor would be one of Chrysler’s early ones. Based on the West Bend motors, Chryslers are well engineered and often not appreciated for it. The specs for it will probably be similar to the 1965 20501 model. Note the 16:1 fuel mix.

If it hadn’t been for that little Chrysler of my grandfathers, I am sure the Sasquatch would have gotten me and my buddy Ready Red.

Thanx for the info Mumbles. I don’t think I`ve seen a 4 1/4 gallon gas tank.

The Chrysler name was later changed to Force when Bayliner boats bought the Chrysler outboard line, but you probably already knew that. Some parts on some models interchange. The Sierra catalog has a "Chrysler/Force" section.

And that’s why you go to your Mercury dealer when looking for parts!

Does anyone know where to get a parts list for the motor?
