Well, I got pictures but I got 8 of the first one before the other 7 showed up. What did I do wrong?

Bill, nice paint and decal, good job. Just a thought but the first picture of the recoil, isn’t the rope supposed to be on the other side of the idler pulley?
              How does it run?

The fuel pump is there by the connector. Good luck finding a stock connector.
That is something to look for at the coming meets. Ed

                  Bill,

I will admit I am not a Clinton fan, but that one could make me reconsider. That is a nice one.

Thanks 2Fast4Me, I haven’t run it yet. Still trying to decide whether to put it in the barrel or the lake first. This is all original unrestored condition including the decals. It even has the original 55 year old spark plug. I see what you mean about the pull rope position and I think you are right. The original owner may have removed the starter for some reason and put it back on wrong. I’m guessing yours is on the other side of the pully. Thanks for the notice.
Ed, I do have the original connector. The old fuel tank was replaced by a plastic 6 gal. tank and and a new "grey" hose was attached to the original connector. I have 2 old 3 gallon Mercury tanks that I’m going to clean up and use on it.

Could you post a picture of the fuel fitting on the hose?
My daughter has a Clinton and I don’t know what the
                      fitting looks like.
                      Thank you.

I’d try the barrel first. Good chance the impeller is petrified.
