WTB has had no response to a compression adapter for my old motors that take a 7/8 x 18mm. This is a large spark plug hole.

How do you check the compression on these motors?

By making these brass adapters for an old motor with large spark plug threads, I managed to kill two birds with one stone. Not only can I run modern, off the shelf plugs now, but I can also use my compression gauge. But like Dave mentioned, you can probably make one out of an old plug to.

so how do I tell it to make me an 18 mm thread? 😕

The old 7/8 spark plugs are surprisingly inexpensive, I think I paid about $3 for a new plug for my row boat motor.
