      The commentary says they were being run at 20:1, so yeah, the motor would last a little longer than normal eh 😉

      No way they would be allowed to re fuel like that nowadays. Way too dangerous. Having the driver going off shift do it doesn’t seem like a good idea either. I’d want someone who is rested handling that hose.

        Couldn’t help noticing the Waterman plug (Evinrude NOT first in outboards) at the top of the video, and later (around 19 minutes in) about the superiority of inline-4 and inline-6 engines, NOT "big twin", V, or inline-3.

        Funny, how mercury eventually made a big twin (1963 350– same bore as the OMC 25hp big twin), an inline-3 (1976 650), and a V-6 (1976 1750).
