      Hi Everyone, I am wondering if anyone knows the correct Tillotson Carb for a 1952-1953 Elgin 5.5hp? It has a Tillotson on it now, but don’t think it is the correct one. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

        I cant help now but I have a table of Elgi n carbs at home. Maybe i n several weeks I can answer.
        Keep checking and posting if yo u dont find a n answer elsewhere.

          If your West Bend built Sears Elgin is a ’52 model 571.58561, it should have a Tillotson MD 57A carb on it but if it’s a ’53 571.58562 model, it would have come with an MD 57B carb.

          Hopefully Jim can verify that when he’s able to.
