        I’ll e , thought they used low tension in 73….Will look at home in a few days to see if I have one…What questions about the wiring do you have? Or, are you trying to make up a boat harness for the electric start?

          No need to look
          Figured it out.
          I believe 1974 was the first year for low tension mag of 40 hp
          Yes – made harness and checking internal wiring
          It was worked on ppl that have less experience than me
