Finished up this homemade control box so I can crank
a couple of motors over with electric start. I installed
a resistor for the choke solenoid as both the units I have
      are 6 volt systems.
Any reason that my test box won’t work? I’ll have to Jerry Rig
wires from the mercury switch and choke solenoid, to my
test station, but other than that, I’m hopeful it will work.
I presume the newer the models get, the harder Jerry rigging
      the wiring will be?

Nice job Buc! I’m working on something similar (without the choke button) for using my electric start motors on my boat. Single (-) terminal and one (+) terminal always hot for motors with built in start circuit, and a second (+) terminal connected to a start button and a solenoid in the box. Terminals will be protected, obviously, to prevent shorting to aluminum hull if it were to fall over.
