      I am looking to restore a 2 HP Evinrude Sportsman model 4409. My research tells me as its being made in 1946 . I am wondering if it was originally painted silver, or green? [not many pictures of this model come up on google] I also would like to know if anyone has a parts list for it. I need some replacement parts and am having some trouble searching for them. Thanks in advance

        I have a 1947 Sportsman and it is Dull Aluminum. Parts can be hard to find – luckily mine was pretty much complete. I was able to find some parts from Dan Gano and Doug Penn. I believe Doug has "retired" so check with Dan, in Spirit Lake, Iowa.

          Don’t have the 1946, but here is the 1947. Maybe it will help??

            thank you for the .jpgs they were just what I was looking for. hopefully i will be able to find some parts now.
