      Has anyone ever heard about or seen this motor? Single piston, 6ft driveshaft, water cooled. I have tried everything to learn something of this odd ball, without success

        There’s a few in members hands. I recall an article on sidemount canoe motors including the Sachs a couple years ago in the Outboarder. I remember they had an odd-shaped water pickup – kind of like a hollow butter knife. Do you have pics?

        If you don’t mind me asking, are you outside the US?

            Fichtel & Sachs

            value ?
            always difficult , depend such as ,
            runs ?
            complete ?
            it must have the correct prop and propshaft and……….
            very important …..
            must have …..the bracket !! 😎

                yeah, the bracket, the part that you bolt on the right and left side
                of your boat ( canoe or a similar small rowboat )
                on that bracket you can attach the Sachs sideboard motor
                in German language "halterung"

                  Those brackets are easy to find, maybe $50 max. I know nothing about it except I want one now!
