      I seem to be collecting these old Johnsons. Anyways I picked up a HD-25 for free. I needed a recoil for my TD-20 and it looked the same. I didn’t look at the model # of this new motor until i got home and the recoil didn’t fit. Anyways, this Hd-25 has no spark, how can i test components to see what is failing? Oh and i broke the recoil on this one too. So now i have 2 motors that need recoils. Thanks.

            Just an update, followed the guide and all components seemed good. Checked points, cleaned and realigned, and well what do yah know its got spark again. Sometimes its the easy fixes. Now to just find some recoil assemblies for these two motors.
