      Isn’t this the same stuff people put on the bottom of their gas cans to keep them quiet in the boat? I have bought the black stuff on eBay years ago and the last couple summers I bought the red stuff from a vendor at tomahawk. I had no idea it was edge guard for car doors. A good price here except it comes from China.

          I’ve always heard it will rust the bottom edge of the cans. I guess you could take them off from time to time and oil them though.

            When I put it on my tank, I just put it around the corners
            so it would be able to drain.
