Ok, the 1930 Johnson A50 uses a brass 9/64 dia. x 1 5/16 long shear pin. Any body have a source for 9/64 brass rod? I have tried hobby shops, welding supply houses and general building supply companies. The earlier A motors also use this size pin. Help

          0.1486" or 3.57 mm, between #27 gauge and #28. Sand down a 5/32" rod ? ? ?

You could always go to eBay and get the proper Olson #10 brass shear pins (9/64"
            X 1 5/16") for your motor.

There are at least 3 offferings for Olson #10 brass shear pin packets in that size in various quanities and prices.

            Just thought I’d mention it!!

            Respectfully,

            Bob

I drill out the prop shaft another 64th to
5/16. The prop seem to accept the slightly
                larger pin OK.
