I am wondering what the gasket looks like for the gasket that mates the power head to the lower unit. I have attached pictures. The water tube on the lower unit looks like it feeds into hole in the power head but it also looks like the gasket should also cover the area around where the drive shaft goes into the power head. If that is the case, wouldn’t that also prevent water from flowing into the power head?

In short, does anyone know what this gasket is supposed to look like? I’m sure there are none available to buy because of the age of the motor, or am i incorrect?

      Thank you for your help.

From what I remember, you just cut out a power head to lower unit gasket
with the three stud holes, center hole to go over the driveshaft bushing,
and one water hole , circa 3/8" diameter, in line with the water feed in the lower unit.
The exhaust gasket was a separate gasket.
Doubt seriously if you’d find a ready made gasket.
