Asked this on JOMs and got no bites.

I’m converting a KG7 from Scintilla to Phelon.
KG7 specs are 398-713 for condenser and 398-716 for coil.
20H specs are 398-693 for condenser and 398-173 for coil.

      1) I believe, based on the manual, and parts replacement data, that the two coils are, in fact, the same, so I think I’m good there.
      2) I am, however, using a 20H stator plate, which only accepts the 398-693 (20H) condenser. Manual specs on the KG Phelon condenser are .15-.19 cap. Manual specs on the 20H condenser are .14-.18 cap. What is the impact of using the 20H condensor on the KG7?

      Thanks (Always Learning!)

The above video shows brass condensers , typical of most Phelon / Mercury ignitions. If you do this modification ever; using the OMC condenser that’s associated with the OMC coils, it will physically mount to the same tapped holes in the stator plate as do the brass condensors _________ 🙄

            If it fits, it ships.

            Long live American manufacturing!
