Since I’ve gotten such good response from the members on other topics I’d like to know if there is a fan base or club for Old Larson and Larson/ Crestliner boats.
I’m helping a family liquidate a bunch of fishing boats in the Grad father’s estate. (13 total)
One of them was in such abused condition with the name "Nothin Fancy" written in silver paint on both sides with a brush. The gunnels looked messed up and I kind of wrote the boat off as trash until I moved it and noticed the Larson transom brackets. I thought wow… I woulda killed for those on my last restoration of a 1955 Larson/ crestliner 12 ft. Commodore speedster.

Then I realized this was the 14 ft. Commodore from about 1950-53 the older big brother of the one I just re-built.
So… now that I’m on my second one to re-furbish… is there a following for these or am I just running across the only ones left.

Tinboats.net is the best site I have found for Aluminum boat info.

https://www.tinboats.net/forum/viewtopi … on#p437696 might have something you are looking for.

Like opposedtwin said, http://www.retrocrestliner.com is the place to go. They have a great message board. They also have a classified ad board but there is a small charge to post there. Start by mentioning the boats on the message board – nobody is going to police it and say you can’t – it happens all the time. The site also supports the older Larson name for the aluminum boats.
