      top cylinder is 100, bottom 95. I think the problem is fuel not getting from bowl to hi speed needle although I have cleaned that passage a lot. Ordered new float and needle and seat.

        Compression is low, a good reading would be 120. Behind a welch plug on the carb. are orifices that could be plugged. Also when cleaning the carb. remove the by pass tube and clean, it also could be plugged.

          I removed welch plug and cleaned those holes. removed float and filled with fuel. Made sure fuel was getting to needle. Now it starts and runs more seconds. I think the old cork float was swollen and blocking the fuel, maybe. I believe when I replace float, needle and seat it will run. Optimist.

            Have you removed the by pass tube and cleaned it.
