      I’ve installed several o-rings in OMC fuel couplers but this Merc one has me stumped!!!! Have coupler apart but can not get inner o- ring into groove. Help!!

        Mercury pressure fitting? Sure you have the correct size orings? Should be pretty straight forward.

          Looks alot like the OMC connector inerds…….

            That’s not the coupler. Getting o-ring into the twist lock part is the problem.

              OHHH you mean the non pressure type connector….

              Not had one of those apart, but have several….

                I didn’t know those came apart. Maybe ask the question on the mercury website too. Lotsa guys over at that site would know.

                  never had one apart. but I would heat when I remove the pieces. after I asseyears ago.mbled it I would use a set screw to keep it from coming apart. did it on an aftermarket that came apart

                    I found the answer!! The "groove" for O-ring isn’t actually a machined groove. Part is bored straight thru, then O-ring installed and a washer is pressed in to hold O-ring .
