I’ve used a bunch of ’em. They seem to work fine, and they’re certainly cheap enough. I bought the last batch for $10/ea in a lot of 12.

I say "pardon me" a lot. I had a 20H, then raced open mod sleds.

          I installed a pair in a 9.5

they tested (electrically) OK…. good screw pin for the high voltage connection and they fired up good (good strong spark)

can’t beat the price so I ordered up 2 pairs for my next projects. OMC square fuel pumps are cheap also so I fitted one on my 6R74 and will be doing some lake testing when this stupid temperature breaks .

How are the windings attached to the laminate? Do they use the metal tab bent over to hold it or are they glued?

Wonder if it’s possible to remove them when they are glued? Need some windings for a different set of laminates.

They’re glued…..if you support the coil in a vise, they knock right out. I’ve got a set on modified original laminates in my soon-to-be-restored OA-55.

The coil conversion was done with Tubs’ guidance and instruction. It’ll fire at .100+ gap at hand cranking speed.
