Do you know what weight oil was spec’d for it originally? Guessing SAE #30 or #40? Someone correct me if I am askew. I would run a oil of thr same weight, whether it be 2 cycle or other. Other meaning straight weight 4 cycle oil. SAE #30 or #40. However make sure it is non detergent oil, as the additives in say a 10w30 will cause deposits over time. 2 cycle tc-w3 oil is nice in that it has additives made for outboards and has dye in it so you know it has oil mixed. I run Non-detergent #30 in my small 2 cycle engines with great results, but I rely on memory if I mixed in oil. Could be dangerous to bushings. Also if you run ND oil shake the can as it can separate ffom the gas.

I would think a single coil with dual output, similar to what the Elto Service twins used…Not sure how they were run originally
        Someone will chime in…beautiful outboard

One of theses days I have to get my 1916 Koban with underwater exhaust finished.
You use a dual output buzz coil to run them.
