Blast it and paint it flat black! 😀

A smart man once told me that about my old stand LOL 😆 🙄 😀 😯

Mmmmm, flat black. Yeah, I’d love to except it isn’t mine!

Original 1957 Johnson stand has cream color with black insert.

Thanks! I should have known that you would know! 😀

      Any pictures?

I have one with its original Holiday Bronze paint with the Johnson name in black. Will be honest that the shade difference between ’57 and ’58 is slight, so this could be a ’58 – but it seems a good match for my un-restored ’57 7.5. The match is better in person than in the photo below:

You could take all these paint schemes to the museum and let them decide what they want. Lots of options.

Now I’m totally confused but I think Bronze may be the way to go for a ’57 motor stand and Cream for a ’58 as the ’58 motors had more Cream color on them than the 57’s did.

            Thanks for that picture Art!

I have every year Jonson stands from 1955 to 1959. All come in different color/insert.
                lotec’s picture is for 1956.
                1955 green with red insert
1958 aluminum with red writing style (aluminum color I am not sure if it is original but so far I have seen is aluminum.
50 hp stand is cream with writing insert like one posted above)
1959 cream with 1959 logo and letter
