              Could it be they have swapped the transom clamp from a Goodyear? They are giving me a Goodyear model number but it doesn’t look anything like the pics I am pulling up.

                  Did the Gale 12 use the same lower as the 18 hp OMC? The owner is telling me she got the "Gale/manufactured for Goodyear" off the tag.

                    The welsh plug on the powerhead will tell the truth.My guess is a Johnson top end on a Gale/Goodyear tower and lower.

                    If you have too many, AND not enough, you're a collector.
