      I think those are good solid work horse motors. Back around 1990 I was in between boats but had one of those motors that I would use on rental boats. It ran strong and was very dependable. 15 HP was about the max that most places would allow you to use on one of their rentals. Me and my son and others would go up to Black Lake NY and rent one of McLear’s Campground 14′ rental boats. This is my son getting ready to load all our gear and motor on the boat.

        Great vintage photo! I love the 3 Playmate coolers! Lunch and some space for thirst quenching equipment. I love the FD-10 in the photo. Even when this photo was taken, 26 years ago, I.E. 1990, this was still 44 years old. It looks like it just came off the showroom floor.
