Have just cleaned my carburetor and found toe original float crusty so will use a clean one I have. Likely related to Etoh fuel .  Have seen that you can seal with model airplane dope and some suggest thinning prior to use   What should I use as a thinner  Thank BK

Since  latest findings on crazy glue as a seal proves unsatistactory try airplane dope but you can order AMAZON  cheap china floats that come in kits  as low as   $15

A "Boathouse Repair" is one thats done without having tools or the skills to do it properly.

I never  thinned  when I   did   a few   ..the stuff evaporates fast…even inside the bottle !!

Suggest you invest is a nice new float and be done with it    AP Dope was expensive when I purchased some years ago….the  net cost difference won’t be much  for peace of mind.

              up to you
