Oh boy, so sorry about the gearcase…. I laugh when guys say those clam shell gearcases are easy to seal up….Wrong…. Takes careful work, and a pressure tester…. Don’t run the engine with water in the gearcase, call it quits for the season….D
September 23, 2021 at 11:57 am #247105I agree with Fleetwin – When I have to seal up those gearcases, I make sure I have several hours set aside to carefully get everything right…..and I keep telling myself that some day I’ll build a pressure tester.
DaveSeptember 26, 2021 at 11:15 am #247296no need ti build one… 🙂 this one worked for me on my 75 ETEC and….you can test vacum leaks and pressure on the gear case. just install a hose line and gearcase adapter/nipple
