Im in need of a parts list with item number for this model. In specific the coil and lamination. I’ve looked and looked but I can’t find the right parts for the outboard motor.

I don’t know anything about them. Not a motor with a strong collector interest. There are later coils the can be adapted to work in earlier motors but can’t say if they could be used in yours. Here are 2 links https://www.aomci.org/forums/topic/elto-speedster-1949/ and https://www.aomci.org/forums/topic/1949-elto-sportster-5hp-pros-and-cons/

A "Boathouse Repair" is one thats done without having tools or the skills to do it properly.

Are you sure it’s not an Elto Sportster 5 hp like in the diagram?
That one appears to be a common “pre-universal” magneto coil,
on many motors from the 1940’s.

The coil substitution Seakaye posted will work on many magnetos that have flywheel magnets. If your magneto has a magnet rotor on the crankshaft, like in the diagram that the Buccaneer has posted, that coil substituting won’t fit. Mostly because of where the wires to the points, and ground, come out of that coil. There is no know substitute (to me anyway) that will work on that magneto having the magnet rotor.

This one should work but it came in a plain white box, with no brand or part number on the box, or the coil.
