now the work begins. Try to do a compression test before spending big$$$… if ok and near equal… onward to electricals
you will need the pull the flywheel inspect coils for severe cracks, replace both coils & condensers….. points may be ok if burnished and cleaned. new plug wires 7mm metallic strand wires only etc.. etc..
great great hobby and lots of help here to bring it back to life ( dump gear case oil check for water ingress. refill. some seals may be leaking pull the prop check for mono wound up on the propr shaft destroying the seal.. reasling is tricky but after a few it is ok. Some folks just change oil mid season if the leak is not to bad. Pressure testing with soapy water will locate the leak in one of 3 places usually #1 prop shaft #2 shift rod seal #3 driveshaft seal under the water pump.
