      What is the output of the average outboard coil? As in, what would you be seeing on a meter? Also, the case of most condensers is the ground?

        Never measured the high voltage but yes the capacitor case is one terminal to ground. I have a high voltage probe but I don’t think it’s fast enough to measure output of a coil.
        Check your secondary winding resistance & refer to a chart for your magneto.
