Nice project. Maybe the cylinders were a repair and the correct Elto style probably couldn’t be found. I have an Elto Ace with matching numbers but an Evinrude cylinder, old motors got repaired and kept going. If only they could talk.
The early sand cast iron cylinders were made by Evinrude. Later Johnson furnished Die cast cylinder with a copper tube wrapped around the grey iron sleeve for cooling. . . 😀
Note the rounded cyliinders, extended muffler/exhaust manifold and distinct carry handle. Try to ignore the decal that says "Elto Lightfour Imperial" lol
