This 3.3hp motor has two rubber impellers with a deflector in between.  There’s a plate that has four holes that line up with studs on the housing but floats free. Was this plate originally riveted to the housing?

I don’t know anything about those motors David but here’s the parts page that might help. I’m sure someone who knows these will chime in.

I have the manual ( I believe courtesy of Garry in days gone by) but it’s big and not sure if I can attach it. I’ll try in a separate post.

Evinrude 4423-4424 Parts Manual – not that big, was thinking of the owners manual, will try that next.

Thanks Steve!  I had the parts manual but not the owner’s manual.  : )

In the parts diagram, it shows a “Deflector and plate assembly.”  Seems to be one piece.  I tried searching for that part number to no avail.  Let’s see what more info emerges.
