          Building a whole new sheet metal exhaust is cost prohibitive unless you own the business . . .

            I believe it is a stainless steel exhaust, one could calculate the material needed and just replace the offending lower section. Since there is already a seam there, replacing and welding the section and then polish the entire unit, would be a task but hey … I have seen more work go into other motors… Who is game?
