      line up the coils   your finger nail must not snag  sliding up or down

        Thanks Gary for the reply.

        I took photos as I started disassembly and unless it was wrong before I started then I have it back like it was.  I’ll take another look at it though.Before removal

        Mike I never seen one of those brass rings with only three bolts in it.  Maybe that ring is off center?  There should be a place where you can get four bolts in it.  Also those bolts that hold that brass ring down are special.  They have a shorter head.  Check it out when you can!

          The screws he has on the brass ring appear to be the original factory screws.   I’ve never seen one with only 3 fasteners either but my parts list for his motor appears to show just 3 screws.
