The drive pin for your ’58 Sportwin is made of stainless steel, 3/16″ X 1 1/6″.

Not sure about the Merc pin.

    The Mercury K4
    Is 3/16 brass also.
    I make mine from
    Solid K & S brass
    Stock available
    From good hardware
    Store or good hobby
    Shop.

Thanks! That’s good to have. I was suggesting that information like this be made available to club members in a repository on this website.

Is there a reason some shear pins are brass, some aluminum?
As long as the size is correct, can you interchange?
