      I tried nylon washers from the big box stores but found that the nylon is somewhat harder to compress .. maybe it is just me…

      I went back to the real stuff  from the dealer but   i am willing t o try coffe lids if they work …

        Ok.  Sounds like the jury is in.  I’m probably just fine to use the fiber washer.
