I’m looking for some washers, part #300399, to go with new cylinder head bolts on my QD-20, hopefully at a better price than $3.00 each at Marine Engine. I’ve looked at Fastenal and McMaster-Carr but can’t seem to find anything comparable to the OEM washers. These measure about 0.28 ID and 7/16 OD. Anybody have a source for these?

August 10, 2019 at 9:57 am #181019Yes, my local Ace Hardware was the first place I looked, since they do have a lot of specialty fasteners. I made a quick pass through there yesterday and didn’t find anything but guess I’ll go take a longer look. Thought there might be another source I hadn’t found yet.

August 27, 2019 at 9:58 am #182102Jim, No haven’t tried the aviation route yet but did some googling after your note and I might try those on a future project. I bought a bag of the M6 washers already and they should work fine – the ID and OD are the same as the factory washers.

Might want to try. I have used them in the past.
Pretty big selection.

Last year I needed two 1/4” washers that were missing from a 1954 Evinrude cowl. Regular 1/4″ SAE washers had an O.D. that was too big to fit into the recess in the cowl. 6MM washers worked. They are a little bit snug on the I.D., but they had the smaller O.D. that was needed.
