      Not wanting to add confusion to this but a question popped into my head. The OP said water comes out the exhaust port. Does this motor have a telltale? I don’t think of this as being the same as the exhaust port but I could be wrong.

        No "tell-tale". Water sprays out of the exhaust relief port about half way down the backside. Actually better than a tell-tale unless you just want to watch it pee.

          I think Dan is onto something.

          It sounds heat related. Then, for some reason, the heat leads to pump malfunction.
