      I second the Yamabond that Dale mentioned. Use the non-hardening formula. (#4 I believe) It is made for sealing crankcase halves on 2-stroke snowmobiles and motorcycles and there is no reason it won’t work just as well on outboards. As everyone says, a VERY thin coating is used.
