      I will block the nipple with the red arrow with a vacuum cap or take out nipple and put a screw in or solder it closed{content}

      Looks like you could unscrew the red nipple and replace with a brass plug, then you never have to worry about it leaking.

        I tried purchasing a bolt for that hole.But the hardware store did not have that type of thread.So I solder the nipple closed.

          It would be a plumbing thread. Sounds like you got it sealed up though. Keep us posted when you get it running!

            Just out of curiosity, why are you switching to a single line tank? I assume you have access to a decent pressure tank. Not judging, just have always wondered why people convert.

              opposedtwin- I think going to a single line will make it more saleable
              I know I will not get my money as to how much I put into the motor but at least I can sell it and not have it sit.
              Then use that money for new project.
              Other things I am doing to the motor-
              It will have 12 volt starter solenoid under the hood.But keeping the 6 volt starter
              Converted from pointy tooth cog to ball tooth cog on tiller
              Installed a kill switch
              Updated the lower crank shaft seal to carbon seal with quad ring
              honed cylinders and new rings
              that’s just off the top of my head
              It will have original patina
              I hope who ever buys it will run it hard- like it was meant to
