      The bolts on the friction band are correct, no springs. Same on all my K motors. Not sure about the wing nut, the K uses an aluminum nut. I have one with a big brass wing nut but I’m pretty sure it was added later.
      Your tower looks great, if the block cleans up as nice I think your done.
      I looked at some of my older ones, K50, K70 and K75 and the paint seem to get thicker as they get older. There are no chips on my 80, only some slight wear thru. And no primer, just silver. The later ones have chips and a definite primer, whitish in color.

        Thanks again. Guess when I get to it the cylinder will be painted
        silver. Found this "original looking" A-70 on YouTube, and
        the cylinder sure looks like it was silver.
