        I’ll bet Dan’s right, you probably have some wear on the plastic parts too. My motor that I mentioned earlier has a little different set up, but uses the same switch. You should never bypass a neutral safety switch… just for testing purposes sure, but it needs to be fixed right.

          If the motor has a electric start type remote control that had a key switch, you may find the same switch inside that isn’t being used, no need to have two.
