Dad was a fireman/boiler operator on a destroyer in WW2 he had been a smoker but quite smoking. Then after 17 years diagnosed with lung cancer, can’t remember the name but it was asbestos related. He died 18 months after the initial diagnosis. Asbestos will get you but so will MEK and paint and boating without a life jacket. Be safe out there.
