Resembles an Air Boy, but I think it might be home made. Do I see a couple of Jacobson mower parts?

Couple of pics f rte on other side. It definitely has the home made look to it. I was just wondering if it was once a legitimate make or completely put together f rte om available parts and pieces?

            That screams homebrew to me.

Yep, I thought so, that’s a Jacobson mower muffler (and engine). My first job.
I mowed half the lawns in town with one of these. (Small town)

FrankR, it looks like you called it in your first post! Thanks for the info. I don’t believe I’ve ever seen a mower like that one so chances are slim I’d have figured that out. Thank you.

Agreed that it’s likely homemade, but whoever made up the cage new what they were doing.

cage could be from a large large electric fan.

Most of us on this board could probably build something like this and make it work if you had access to a scrap metal yard. My hang up would the propeller. Who has a pile of old wood propellers to dig through?

OK, so how do you start it? Looks like a rope sheave on the hub, which would be pretty darn awkward to get at on the transom.
