RD-17 on a Minimost, with a 150 lb skinny kid at the wheel — that was adrenalin overload…. I’d do it again if I could get my now 200+ in the boat without tipping it over, had the upper body strength to yank the recoil (thank goodness for compression relief), and had the audacity to take on 12 ” waves without worrying about flipping it (maybe the 200 lb is an advantage !). My dad’s 383 hemi Chrysler going down the interstate at 135… it’s really addicting, but I’m now wise enough to know that I’m not invincible.
Instead, I can zoom around the logging roads on 4-wheelers, an awesome off-road buggy called an Odyssey and a SeaDoo that can get on speaking terms with 70mph. (did you know that you can do a barrel role with a SeaDoo ??! — it really hurts)
