SIerra…. can they be informed by AOMCI… the biggest user of their coils???

Sierra is part of Seastar (Was Teleflex). It’s kind of remarkable that they haven’t gotten the word. Or maybe they have and don’t care??

I must be lucky. I use a lot of Sierra parts at my shop. Really don’t recall ever having any problems.

            Well now….

With the Sierra coils still in the mag plate, I put the ring back on. It wouldn’t slip on at all, but it could be easily seen that the radii of the Sierra coils is indeed way off. My OMC-BRP coils came today, and I’m happy to report that they fit perfectly! Absolutely perfectly!

Mag plate back on, timing re-set, flywheel back on….no rubs, no issues. Great spark on both wires. Lookin’ good!

I’ll bucket test on Saturday, but I’m feeling pretty good about all of this.

            Thanks for the advice guys…
