I don’t see where there might be a crack in the nut. That is the usual problem I have when the nut can not be tightened. Same with brass fittings when they have been over tightened.

I tried squeezing the nut in a vice without much luck. I took it apart and found the nut would fit fine without the brass fuel fitting. I ended up shaving the fitting about a 1/16th or so where it connects to the carb. and that seemed to give me another thread or two on the nut. I needed to take it apart anyway to bend the fuel line a bit to make room for a hot air tube that I ordered. The fuel line may not have been original to the motor which may have caused the problem in the first place?
        Thanks all
        Glen
