Thanks for the semi inspiration, lol. I was worried for a bit that it wasn’t going
to “wind up”. Looks like you were struggling with the spark advance, but
I understand two hands would have been better than one!
It idles down pretty nice though.
I could not tell from your video, but does your twist grip throttle work correctly,
i.e., fast is fast, slow is slow?
Mine reads back asswards……. I assume I have something screwed up inside
      the handle.
Nice to see one running! Thanks.

No struggles, I was avoiding wakes and boat traffic at first. The throttle works the normal direction.

Thanks, I was afraid your throttle worked normally…… now
I have to take mine apart one more time!

Progress made on the coil swap today.
A little nervous cutting away precious metal on the mag plate,
near one coil bolt mount area on each coil, but I think all
            will be A-okay..

I thought I may be able to use vertical universal condensers
to replace the old horizontally mounted ones, but even
though the height of the condensers wasn’t an issue,
the vertical condensers interfered with the point adjustment
            travel.
I “may” try some careful surgery and swap the mount brackets
between the old and new condensers, and if that don’t work,
I may try a retrofit with axial capacitors.
I need to find some condensers with the removable mount bracket
            for such occasions!

Nice work on the coil swap.  If I tried that, I probably would have it screwed in the first 2 minutes!

Wow!  That looks beautiful Buc!  I am experimenting with the Ceramic style caps now as well as the axial.  The ceramics sure are tiny!  But….whatever you end up doing I’m sure it will work out fine and look beautiful!

those small ceramic condensers in mr. Mohat’s   article should do fine . space wise      you could  cut down some old  caps  by 50%  to shrink them down  and stick the ceramics inside

Buc, you have that push rod points backing plate looking good!  When I grow up I wanna be just like you.

More work on the magneto today.
The bottom cylinder’s coil plug wire circles
around the opposite direction as with the original
coils, but I didn’t seen any issues when I mounted
the mag on the power head.

I have not put the flywheel on yet, but hoping to have no issues
                        with the new coils rubbing.

I decided to alter some $7 universal magneto type condensers
with brackets from the old style condensers.
The new condenser’s brackets were attached to their cans
                        with two tiny spot welds.
I “carefully” drilled the spot welds away on the milling machine
                        using an 1/8″ end mill.
I measured the bracket thickness, and used the mill DRO so
                        I didn’t drill too deep!
They’re installed on the mag plate, and appear that they “‘should work” okay.
